February Favourites ♥

Hey Everyone

Where did the time go since my last blog post... I've been super busy decorating in our new home so between that and work I haven't had a minute to sit and chill with the laptop.

I had a cheeky half an hour spare so I thought I'd get this months favourite's up.

Sabrina the teenage witch the final season

I'm a bit of a DVD freak I like collecting TV and film series and I've just finished watching a blast from the past and one of my all time favourites from my childhood Sabrina. If you are crazy and never watched Sabrina then the title is self explanatory it's basically about a teenager who finds out shes a witch on her 16th Birthday, she lives with her aunts and has a talking cat named Salem. The show series starts whilst Sabrina is in High school and goes through her college years, working life and right up to the day she nearly gets married. I love it and I'm so glad I watched it again after all these years.

Strawberry Nesquik

I've been obsessing over this stuff. I only bought it as I made some strawberry flavoured cookies on valentines day. I've been using the leftovers like crazy I didn't even realise how much I loved strawberry milkshake.

L'oreal paris brow artist plumper in light/medium

This came in the February My little box which you can see in my previous post. I have to say My little box has also been a strong favourite this month, but since I done a whole post on it I didn't think I needed to add it to this monthly favourite post. This little guy has been my saviour whilst I've been in a rush this month. I just quickly glide it through my brows and hey presto they are groomed full and ready to go.

Stitch Mug

Adorable! I know right??!  My friend told me she had a surprise for me and this was the surprise I've been trying for the longest time to get this mug, online and in store. It was always sold out online and when I asked about it in store they always said it was discontinued. Someone was telling fibs as my friend came to the rescue and treated me with this which she found in her local Disney store. Stitch is one of my favourite Disney characters and I've been drinking my strawberry milkshake out of this all month long.

Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette

My Fiance ordered me something from the Selfridges website at Christmas, on Christmas eve he recieved an email saying it wasn't coming. He got a £20 gift voucher as an apology and gave it to me to spend so I chose this. I've really been enjoying using it and I've pretty much used it everyday since I got it. The bronzer amd the blush are my fave if I'm honest the highlight is ok but nothing special but two out of three aint bad right?

Music/Tv/Film

This month my favourite song has been Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars it just puts you in a good mood as soon as you hear it.

Tv wise I have been loving the Real Housewives Of Cheshire I enjoy seeing how the other half live Dawn is my favourite character I think she looks great for her age and she's not afraid to get her opinion across.

My favourite Film this month has been Taken 3, Liam Neeson is one of my favourite actors and I've really enjoyed the franchise of the Taken films. The first one is still the best but I enjoyed all three.

So there we have it the February favourites for this month what have you been loving this month?

My Little Box #1 ♥

Hey Everyone

I'm back today and I thought I'd share something with you that I've been super excited about. That something is my new monthly subscription box which I signed up to at the end of last month. I've tried many of the monthly subscription boxes floating around and haven't been 100% satisfied with any of them. Wanting to try a new one I had a look around and found My Little Box

My Little Box works exactly like any other monthly subscription box. This one costs £11 + £3.95 for postage and package. The packaging is a little more but that's because this baby comes all the way from Paris.

What makes this box different from the rest you may ask not only does it come from Paris! You get beauty items as well as lifestyle items in your box. Which I think is a great concept and this is what drew me in.

Lets take a look at the box.....

The box comes in another cardboard box so that it doesn't get damaged on the journey. Once I opened the cardboard box I was greeted with a quote. I don't know about you but I'm a sucker for a quote and I love this one.
The quote is by Ines de La Fressange the lady who helped put together the box this month. Who is she you may ask well this wonder woman was a Chanel muse in the 80's shes worked with the likes of Karl Lagerfeld and now she is the head of fashion house Roger Viver. She is the ultimate Parisian.

This leads me onto my next point which is that each month the box has a different theme and this month's theme is....

French!

The box comes beautifully packaged and everything is tied together with a beautiful ribbon.

Every month you receive a sort of motivational card which you can see on the left which shares another amazing quote and an illustration by Kanako who creates all of the illustrations for the company. I'm thinking of getting a frame for my bedside table and putting each months card inside, for something nice to look at each morning and night. Also the box comes with it's own little magazine which I loved it shares an interview with Ines, beauty, fashion and even recipes.

My first lifestyle gift was this this cute little pot of messages. There are 28 messages in side with messages that will help brighten your day. I like to start my day by reading a message every morning when I get up so far I have had some lovely tips and inspirational messages. You can buy all of the items that come in the box separate on the website and this retails for £6.50 on its own.

My other lifestyle treat for the month is this gorgeous smartphone case. I believe it comes in navy too. It's crazy this came when it did as I was needing a new cover it must have been fate. This retails for £16 to buy separately.

Next onto my beauty treats for the month.

DHC Blotting paper £4.00 for 100 sheets:-
We all know what these are for when we are having a shiny day these little beauts take all that shine away. These ones are beautifully packaged and are the perfect size to pop in your handbag.

By Terry Terrybly Khol Pencil £23:-
I'm not gonna lie I was quite blown away to see this in my box as I've heard so many good things about this brand with it being on the pricier side I've never bought anything from the brand before so I was really excited to find this eyeliner in my box. I wore this one yesterday it has a little glitter running through the black it looks gorgeous on the eyes.

L'oreal Super liner brow artist plumper £5.99:-
I'm forever having a love hate relationship with my brows I usually fill them in with a powder when I gave this a go I was pleasantly surprised how quick and easy it was to use. This one is in light to medium which is perfect for me. When you sign up they ask you a couple of questions like hair colour, eye colour, skin colour etc so they can match you and your box perfectly.

My Little Beauty complexion enhancer - Glowing skin £9.50 30ml:-
Last but not least we have this glowing skin complexion enhancer. Not only does the company have this monthly subscription service they also have their own beauty line called My Little Beauty. I wore this under my foundation yesterday and got a bunch of comments on how radiant my skin looked, so it gets the thumbs up from me.

So there we have it for the February Frenchie box. I know it's quite a detailed post but I really wanted to show you how amazing the box was and how much detail is taken to produce the box. I'm really obsessed with it.

I paid £14.95  for the box and postage and everything inside comes to about £65 which is amazing.

I'm already looking forward to next months box any ideas on what you think next months theme will be?

Whats in my bag ♥

The first real post of a new blog is always going to be a hard one. I decided to start with something easy and show you a glimpse of whats in my bag.

The bag I use changes daily depending on what I'm doing on the day, today I have a shorter then usual shift at work so I don't need to take my big all day bag to work. Lets be honest no one loves to carry the heaviest bag of all time around filled to the brim with things you think you need when in fact you don't.

Today I'm using my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac in Navy. This was a gift from my fiance for my birthday last year. We went to London to celebrate my birthday (went retail shopping in the capital to make becoming another year older bearable.) I was torn between the navy and black but I thought do I really need another black bag! So I went for the navy.

The bag itself comes with an optional over the body studded strap I prefer to wear my bag with the strap its much more practical for me for both day and night occasions. The bag has gold hard wear and has two slim tassels on each zipper. The main compartment of the bag up top has a quite spacious inside I can fit the majority of my daily must haves inside. It also has a little slot for your phone too which is always a good thing, cant be losing the number one accessory could you imagine the withdrawal symptoms.  There is also a zipper in the front when you lift up the front flap on release of the clasp. I don't tend to put anything in here other then loose change.

If I remember right the bag was £170 which is totally worth it in my opinion I have definitely got my fiances money's worth. I tried to look for a link to the bag on the Selfridges website where we purchased the bag from but they don't seem to stock Rebecca Minkoff on their site anymore, I'm sure they will still stock it in store though.

What's inside you wonder... Well I shall show you.

Mobile Phone - Which isn't in the photo as I used it to take the photos for my blog post. I have a iphone 5s in gold she is the mothership and is a must in any whats in my bag.

Key - This is my locker key for work I have a shift later today so will need to take this with me.

Radley Purse - This is a great purse it fits everything I need in cash notes, coins and cards.

YSL Lipstick - For touch ups on the go this one is the Rouge Volupte silky sensual radiant lipstick in number 1 nude beige. Gorgeous shade I love it.

Victoria Secret Body Mist - This one is in vanilla lace I'm a bit of a sucker for anything vanilla scented.

Chocolate - You know when you go out for a meal and you get chocolates at the end when you pay for your bill well I was greedy and took a handful and this is whats left. You never know when you are gonna get a sweet tooth.

Radley key pouch - I keep all of my house keys in here this way I'm not hunting for my keys all day long as they are all in one place.

Reciept - From Asda I purchased two garlic bread pizzas weekend just gone for a house party I attended.

So that's as exciting as my bag for today is I might do another in a couple of weeks sharing my Mary Poppins style bag what I use on a busy day.

But for now toodles.
